The Dade chapter volunteers recently worked the Miami Billfish tournament held on April 3-6th at Miami Beach Marina. The event was once again a great success and CCA Florida was there to help with a silent auction and raffle. CCA Florida would like to congratulate Dade chapter president Jerry McGinley of Admiral Oil, who was awarded the Captain Bob Lewis Memorial award by the board of the directors of the Miami Billfish Tournament. The award is presented annually to an outstanding individual for selfless service to conservation in the sport fishing community. We are fortunate to have Jerry on board as our CCA Florida, Dade chapter president and would like to commend him for his continued efforts to protect and preserve Florida’s marine resources. The Dade chapter is also worked the inaugural Mad Dog Mandich Fishing Classic which was held on May 16-17th  at Miami Beach Marina. Finally, the Dade chapter will also be working at the Miami Dolphins Foundation Fishing Tournament which will be held on May 30-31st at Miami Beach Marina.
