2008 Banquet
The 23rd Annual Palm Beach Banquet date has been set for Saturday, October 25, 2008 and will be held at the prestigious Boca Raton Resort & Club.
The Palm Beach chapter recently volunteered to work at the Grand Slam Castaway’s KDW tournament put on by Richard Black and Scott Nichols of Grand Slam Sport Fishing Supply in Jupiter, FL. The tournament was once again a huge success with over 325 boats fishing in the pursuit of kingfish, dolphin and wahoo. A great time was had by all and over 95 folks signed up for a CCA Florida membership. The angler who caught the biggest fish of all CCA members in the tournament was awarded $2000.00. This year’s winner was Ricardo Mejira of Jupiter for his kingfish that weighed 45.2 pounds. Congratulations to Ricardo and to Grand Slam Sport Fishing supply for another great tournament.
