The members and Board of Directors of CCA Florida would like to recognize Scott Deal, president of Cobia Boat Company, for his generous donation of a Cobia 211 Bay Boat.

Cobia Boat Company is related to Maverick Boat Company, Inc. the manufacturer and marketer of the prestigious Maverick, Hewes and Pathfinder saltwater fishing boats. Maverick and Hewes flats fishing boats are regarded as the industry’s benchmark for excellence and innovation in ultra shallow water and backwater fishing. Pathfinder boats are the best of breed backwater, bay and offshore fishing boats. Cobia boats are the standard of excellence in fishing and family fun with a broad line-up of center console, walk around, dual console, sport cabin and bay boat models from 19 feet to 31 feet.

Following CCA Florida’s inception in 1985, Maverick Boat Company was the first boat manufacturer to step forward as a major supporter, not only of the organization, but also of vital marine conservation issues throughout the state. Maverick has backed CCA’s efforts through both membership initiatives and discounted boat packages made available through chapter fundraising banquets. In 2004, they began providing a free CCA membership with every Maverick boat sold.
