Some people leave footprints on your heart. Landen Collins left them everywhere.

Landen passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 19, leaving behind a family, a community, and countless friends who were blessed to know a young man whose kindness, character, and presence could brighten any room. Though his time here was far too short, his impact was immeasurable.

Raised in a family active in their church and grounded in faith, Landen lived in a way that reflected the values he was taught: love your neighbor, help those in need, and treat everyone with kindness. In his final days, he shared a simple but beautiful hope “I hope I make the sky pretty for you.” Those words now carry a profound comfort for all who loved him. Every sunrise and sunset will forever serve as a reminder of the love he carried for those closest to him.

Landen graduated with honors from Bonita Springs High School and attended Florida Gulf Coast University. He was an exceptional student and someone who approached life with determination and curiosity. Whether in the classroom, at work, or among friends, he earned the respect and admiration of those around him through his integrity, work ethic, and genuine care for others.

Many knew Landen from the soccer field, where he was, in every sense of the word, a tank. He first laced up his cleats at just four years old and continued putting his toe to leather through his senior year. Fierce in competition but humble in victory, he was respected by teammates and opponents alike. To those who played alongside him, Landen wasn’t just a great athlete. He was the teammate who encouraged others, lifted spirits, and made everyone around him better.

Away from the field, Landen loved fishing and hunting, finding peace in nature and joy in simple moments. Whether outdoors before sunrise or spending time with family and friends, he appreciated life’s gifts and never took people for granted.

What made Landen truly special, however, was how he shared his love.

If you needed help, he was there in a heartbeat. Wanted someone to listen? You had his full attention. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. As a child, his father lovingly nicknamed him “The Mayor” because he talked to everyone he met. The title stuck because it was true. Wherever he went, people felt welcomed, included, and valued.

Landen had a gift for bringing people together. Friends often became family in his presence. He was known for his firm hugs, easy smile, endless conversations, and his ability to make everyone feel like they belonged. To know Landen was to feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Above all, Landen was a devoted son, a protective big brother, a treasured grandson, cousin, nephew, teammate, coworker, and friend. The love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the people he leaves behind.

Landen is survived by his loving parents, Aaron and Aimee Collins; his beloved sister, Hailey Collins; his younger brothers, Hunter Collins and Luca Collins; his Mamaw, Teresa Pereiro; his grandfather, Todd Collins; his grandmother, Karen Collins; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teammates, coworkers, and countless others whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his cherished Pop Pop, Carlos Pereiro; his Nanny, Debbie Mumm; and his Papa, Alex Mumm, who we know welcomed him home with open arms.

While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Landen’s legacy lives on through every life he touched. His kindness, loyalty, faith, laughter, and love will continue to ripple through this world for years to come.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Hope City Church, 12871 Trade Way Drive, Unit 6, Bonita Springs, Florida 34135. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m.

Landen’s style, like his nature, was comfortable. Boots, jeans, watches, and cologne. In his honor, guests are encouraged to wear their jeans and boots, though all casual attire is welcome. Come exactly as you are, just as Landen would have welcomed you.

All are welcome to join the family in celebrating a young man whose life was defined not by the years he lived, but by the extraordinary love he shared.
