CCA Florida STAR, presented by Yamaha, officially wrapped on Monday, September 2nd and CCA Florida has announced over 100 winners in the 101-day, family-friendly fishingcompetition. CCA Florida launched STAR in 2015 and has since awarded over $1.2 million in prizes and scholarships to anglers of all ages and skill levels from Florida and beyond in the conservation-focused catch-and-photo event.

As the organization’s largest STAR event to date, with over 6,200 registered anglers, the 2019 event will officially conclude with CCA Florida and partners awarding over $400,000 in prizes and scholarships to anglers from across the state. The upcoming awards banquet presented by Visit Space Coast is Saturday, October 19th at The Melbourne Auditorium in Melbourne, Florida.

Divisions included the iHeart Radio STAR Signature Tagged Redfish Division, which offered a brand-new GMC Sierra from Conley Buick GMC of Bradenton and new boat packages from Contender Boats, Pathfinder Boats, Hewes Boats, Relentless Boats and Carolina Skiff.  In this division, CCA will award three anglers with new boats from Contenderand Pathfinder, both powered with Yamaha Outboards, and a new GMC Sierra from Conley Buick GMC.  In addition, 98 anglers will be awarded prizes from the 16 other divisions including additional boat, motor and trailer packages, electronics, fishing gear and more.

The awards banquet is open to the public and will include dinner, open bar, raffle, live and silent auctions and live entertainment from Kevin MaC. Tickets are $55 for adults and $25 for youth attendees with each guest receiving a goodie bag that includes t-shirt and Realtree Fishing tumbler courtesy of Boaters Exchange.  Additional information and purchase of tickets can be found on the STAR website, at ccaflstar.com.
