Local captain and IGFA record-holder Rufus Wakeman is responsible for forming this chapter, which includes over 350 anglers from Martin and St. Lucie Counties.

Every member in our Martin County Chapter has a passion for the local fisheries and finding solutions for the area’s complex water quality issues. Our local members have helped lead habitat projects including the CCA/MCAC Brause Girls Reef, CCA/St. Lucie County M/V Voici Bernadette Reef, CCA/Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Seagrass Restoration, and most recently, are leading a significant spotted seatrout acoustic study of spawning habits of the fishery.
