Our members matter. Your membership matters.

Our country’s priorities and routines have been completely upended due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This health crisis has required all of us to make radical changes in our personal and professional lives. CCA Florida is no exception and we have made the difficult decision to postpone all events, at least through May, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

While this situation is unprecedented and rapidly changing, we have dealt with unforeseen challenges in the past.  Hurricanes, financial market turmoil, oil spills and other local issues have had major impacts on our organization in recent years, and yet we have always rallied together to emerge even stronger as an advocate for our marine resources.  I have no doubt that we will do the same in this instance.

Now more than ever CCA Florida’s success is reliant on your support. More than 95% of CCA Florida’s annual fundraising is generated by banquets and events. With the postponement of our events, we have shifted our focus from in-person engagements to online participation, in an effort to give members fresh and fun opportunities to safely support our common cause.

There are three ways to continue supporting CCA Florida this spring:

By upgrading your membership, participating in our online raffles or donating to a specific campaign, your continued involvement helps insure that CCA Florida will be there to protect our fisheries and coastal habitats for today, tomorrow and generations to come.

Your continued support has shaped our organization and we are forever thankful. As we navigate this uncertain time together, we wish you and your family good health and happiness.

Together, we got this.
Stay calm. Go fish.

Regards,
JD Dickenson
CCA Florida Chairman
